Yes, the wait is over. Gopa Cobra has released two new singles. Titled "Novacane" and "Madtown", G. Cobra pounces all over these dope beats and KILLS IT. In the past Gopa has been said to be the Indian Nas, and I tend to agree. He jumps all over these tracks, with extended metaphors and double meanings. For instance, when he says, "You best believe we ball/We always know what's happening/With that shit like a bathroom stall" Cobra is using seemingly superficial brag-rap lyrics to subversively make biting social commentary about the the lack of sanitary conditions and indoor plumbing in third world countries. Gopa Cobra also appears to be assembling a crew, giving collab credit to Steve B and Bartender Chris, already big names around the UW Madison Ogg Hall freshman rap scene.
But seriously, there's an admirably large amount of production on these tracks. Also Bartender Chris makes a butt sex joke at the end of "Madtown", which is awesome.
